Pedestrian Hit-and-Run near Thomas Road Left One Fatality

PHOENIX, AZ (December 15, 2022) An unidentified woman lost her life Tuesday night in a pedestrian hit-and-run on 91st Avenue.

The accident took place at about 11:00 p.m. near Thomas Road.

According to initial reports, a woman was crossing Thomas Road when she was struck by two westbound vehicles.

First responders arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Her name is currently being withheld, pending the notification of kin.

Meanwhile, the two drivers did not stop and officials have not released any information about their vehicles at this time.

The crash closed the area around Thomas Road for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the roadway has since reopened.

An active investigation about the pedestrian hit-and-run on 91st Avenue is still under investigation and Phoenix police will release updates as soon as they become available.
