63-Year-Old Cyclist Fatally Struck near Inverness Way

SUNNYVALE, CA (September 28, 2022) – Monday evening, a bicycle collision near Wolfe Road claimed the life of Yong Hu.

The incident happened at around 5:11 p.m. near the intersection of Wolfe Road and Inverness Way.

According to reports, Hu was riding his bicycle in the area when he was struck by a vehicle. Emergency crews were called the scene and when they arrived, they found Hu with serious injuries. Medics then transported him to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for treatment. However, despite life-saving attempts, the victim succumbed to his wounds. Officials pronounced 63-year-old Yong Hu dead, due to the extent of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene of the collision and cooperated with investigations. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the bicycle crash remain unclear. However, more details will be updated as they become available to the public.
