Two-Vehicle Accident near William Avenue Hospitalized One
MERCED COUNTY, CA (August 24, 2022) – A collision on Highway 165 in Merced County left Zoe Maria Canto with serious injuries, police said Saturday.
According to the CHP, officers responded to the incident around 1:47 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 165 and Williams Avenue.
Police said a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado failed to yield to a 2015 Freightliner pulling two trailers on southbound Highway 165.
As a result, the front of the Freightliner struck the driver’s side of the Chevrolet and causing the truck to overturn in the roadway.
The Chevrolet driver, identified as 20-year-old Zoe Maria Canto was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the truck Freightliner driver, identified as 56-year-old Ruben Sicairos, remained uninjured.
Merced County Officials have made no arrests from the Highway 165 car crash at this time, as an active investigation is currently ongoing.
